Mangla Steels Quality Control
Mangla Steels follows a comprehensive and systematic quality control process to ensure that every steel product delivered meets strict industry standards and customer expectations. The quality control process begins with raw material inspection, where incoming steel is verified through Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and checked for correct chemical composition using spectrometer analysis. Key elements such as carbon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and silicon are tested to ensure compliance with standards like IS 2062, IS 808, and IS 4923. Heat numbers are recorded to maintain full traceability of materials throughout the production cycle.
During manufacturing, in-process quality checks are conducted at multiple stages to maintain dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. Parameters such as thickness, length tolerance, outer dimensions, straightness, and squareness are carefully measured using precision instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and ultrasonic thickness gauges. Mechanical testing is also performed to verify tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation properties, ensuring that the steel can withstand required load conditions. Weld quality in pipes and hollow sections is inspected to confirm proper bonding and structural strength.
Final inspection is carried out before dispatch, where products undergo visual examination for surface defects, rust, cracks, and edge damage. Weight verification is done according to standard weight charts to ensure accurate supply quantities. Only materials that meet all specified technical requirements are approved for delivery. By implementing strict inspection protocols, maintaining documentation, and adhering to national standards, Magla Steels ensures consistent product quality, durability, safety, and reliability for construction and industrial applications.
